What force or phenomenon
causes spring fever
to come every year with the season?

It clouds the thought process
and fills hearts with passion
then fades away without a reason.

It curiously happens
near Valentine's Day,
and affects us each year without fail.

Inexorably sparking
romantic adventures
most prominently led by the male.

Soon, fevers blow over
and balance returns
putting clarity back in our lives.

Life-changing decisions
ensuing the fever
